About Julie Clark

Hey, I am a native of southern Colorado, and in the art world I’m known as Artsy Jewelsy. It all started at age 13 when my destiny was set in motion through a series of events created by my Mother. Taking private lessons from an eccentric, passionate art teacher ignited a fire in my soul, steady and strong. I love to portray this in my work with a free-flowing rhythm with various medium styles like oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints, graphic digital designs, and 3d pieces that I collect when I am out in nature.

Hiking and art come together naturally in my pieces, and are seen through color, light, shadows, and the ambience of a special moment where one can get lost in time and beauty. A deer wandering through a forest meadow, Aspen leaves softly rustling in a gentle breeze, tranquil sunsets, and waves flowing on the seashore.

If you’re like me, you welcome challenges; mine is to continually grow, stay committed to a strong work ethic, and learn new techniques. After retiring from teaching, I have been on an amazing eight-year journey that has taken me to having my pieces in galleries, libraries, government exhibitions, festivals, pop-up stores, and recreation centers. At the Denver Art Society Gallery, I also had the honor of being on the Board of Directors for three years. You are invited to come along with me on this amazing adventure!
