How it all Started

Why Watercolor? Why Landscapes?
Life is filled with passions, hobbies, and creative outlets, but there are only so many hours in the day. Instead of choosing between my love for nature and my love for art, I decided to blend the two. Initially, this was simply a way to make time for both—but what started as a practical solution grew into something deeply meaningful.
Painting while hiking, running, or biking through Colorado’s breathtaking landscapes has completely transformed the way I experience the world. Colors leap out at me in a way they never did before—the soft purples of distant mountains, the warm glow of sunlight on rocky trails, the mesmerizing patterns of rippling water. Slowing down to pull out my sketchbook and paints has become my way of connecting more fully with nature, of savoring moments that might otherwise pass by unnoticed.
Watercolor, in particular, feels like the perfect companion on this creative journey. Its fluidity allows me to capture the richness of colors and light in the moment—often within minutes—before the scene transforms with the shifting sun or a passing cloud. The delicate washes and soft edges of watercolor echo the fleeting nature of these outdoor experiences, making every piece feel like a snapshot of a transient, magical moment.
Combining adventure and creativity has deepened my appreciation for everything I encounter on the trail. Every hike, every bike ride, every run becomes a chance to observe, to create, and to connect with the world around me in a way that feels both grounding and exhilarating.
I can’t wait for the next adventure—and the next painting waiting to be discovered.
